Olympian priestess Serena sleeps with the poisoned war god Ares to save him, and becomes pregnant. To protect her child, she makes a deal with the Fates, trading her memory and lifespan—forgetting who the father is. Forced to return to Ares, she finds her best friend Hera has stolen her identity. The cold war god finds himself inexplicably drawn to Serena and insists they pretend to be engaged. Living together day by day, feelings quietly grow. When her memory returns, Serena learns she has only six months left to live. To avoid burdening Ares, she pushes him away with coldness.
