Sisters Emma and Sarah find two snakes in the woods: a strong black one that clings to Emma, and a dying white one that Sarah takes home. For ten years, Sarah works two jobs to nurse the weak white snake, but it never evolves. When a once-in-a-century flood hits, the white snake awakens as a Holy Light Serpent—and saves only Emma. Sarah drowns. Then she opens her eyes: she’s back on the day they found the snakes.......
