Adrian leaves his own daughter Esther in a car while he hangs out with his childhood sweetheart, Stacy and her son Lucas. Under the hot summer sun, the car overheats and shuts down. The A/C stops working and Esther starts to overheat. She's at risk of heatstroke and almost faints. Esther dials Adrian's phone to ask for help. Without listening to her, Adrian hangs up. Just before Esther's tablet runs out of battery, she calls her mother. She begs her mom to save her. However, before Esther can tell Claire her location, the tablet dies.
